Qu Chi (Li 11) or “Pool at the Bend” Acupuncture point – Large Intestine Meridian

Localization of point:

On the lateral side in the middle of the elbow joint, i.e. the juncture between the capitulum of the lateral epicondyle of the humerus and the capitulum of the radius, in a hole at the and of the sulcus.

Diseases:

  • tonsillitis
  • brachial neuralgia
  • cerevicobrachial neuralgia
  • neuralgia in the elbow
  • hemiplegia
  • cerebral congestion
  • pleurisy
  • intercostal neuralgia
  • neurasthenia
  • anemia

Acupuncture and Moxibustion treatment:

  • Acupuncture: 5 – 8 fens (1,66 cm – 2,66 cm or 0,66 in – 1,05 in)
  • Moxibustion: 10 – 30 minutes; 3 – 7 zhuangs (moxa cones)
