Yang Xi(Li 5) or “Yang Ravine” Acupuncture point – Large Intestine Meridian

Localization of point:

On the radial side of the juncture of the radius and the carpus, in a hole between the tendon of the extensor pollicis longus muscle and the extensor pollicis brevis muscle.

Diseases:

  • headache
  • deafness
  • tinnitus
  • tonsillitis
  • toothache
  • hemiplegia
  • dyspepsia in children
  • hysteria
  • In combination with the point zhongquan EP 19 good results in curing arthritis of wrist.

Acupuncture and Moxibustion treatment:

  • Acupuncture: 3 – 4 fens (1 cm – 1,33 cm or 0,4 in – 0,52 in)
  • Moxibustion: 5 – 20 minutes; 3 – 5 zhuangs (moxa cones)
