Chize (L5) or “Cubit Marsh” Acupuncture point – Lung Meridian

Localization of point:

On the inner side of the forearm in the sulcus of the elbow, the lateral portion of the attachement of the biceps brachii muscle, the inner border of the beginning of the radialis muscle.

Diseases:

  • pulmonary tuberculosis
  • hemoptysis
  • bronchitis
  • pleurisy
  • asthma
  • quadriplegia
  • incontinence of urine
  • mental diseases
  • spasms of forearm
  • convulsions in children
  • cervico-brachial neuralgia
  • hemiolegia
  • In combination with the point zhong-wan Cv 12 dysentery can be cured.

Acupuncture and Moxibustion treatment:

  • Acupuncture: 3-5 fens (0,9 cm – 1,66 cm or 0,4 in – 0,656 in)
  • Moxibustion: 5 minutes; 3-7 zhuangs (moxa cones) (according to Jinjian moxibustion is forbidden)
